ALICE BOETSCH

About Me

Alice Boetsch, M.A., state-licensed child and adolescent psychotherapist / approbierte Kinder- und Jugendlichenpsychotherapeutin

I am a state-licensed child and youth psychotherapist and educational psychologist (M.A.). I was born and raised in New York City and its surroundings. I came to Munich in 1997 during my undergraduate studies in psychology and German language and have lived here ever since. After receiving my bachelors degree from Binghamton University (State University of New York), I competed a masters degree in differential and educational psychology (with a focus on gifted education) at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich. During and after my subsequent training as a child and adolescent psychotherapist specializing in cognitive-behavioral therapy (Centrum für Integrative Pychotherapie München – CIP), I worked for several years in inpatient psychiatric and outpatient psychotherapeutic treatment settings before focusing on private practice.

I place a great value on establishing a positive and supportive therapeutic relationship that is characterized by trust, acceptance and cooperation. My goal is to listen and understand, and to work towards finding individual, realistic and effective solutions.

I am registered in the medical registry of the Bavarian Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians and am a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Psychological Psychotherapists and of Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists.
